On Saturday, March 28th, we revamped the left-menu navigation to make it more intuitive and easier to use.
No action is required. There is nothing to configure, migrate, or prepare. The update will apply automatically to your account.
The change will tentatively happen between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. MDT/MST and while we expect the overall impact to be minimal, during this window you may experience intermittent service disruptions within the MedTrainer platform. All active user sessions will be terminated as part of the release process. You’ll simply need to log back in once the update is complete and you will immediately see the updated navigation.
The changes for your organization’s end users will be very minimal. The navigation changes will mostly impact admins and super admins.
The navigation redesign standardizes the structure, labels, iconography, and behaviors across the platform. There will be slight adjustments to many module names, for example Organization Management will now be called Organization. There will also be a persistent location indicator so you always know where you are, even when the menu is collapsed. Defaults, visibility rules, and parent/child selection logic will now be standardized across all modules. These changes are purely to the navigation interface. Your data, user settings, and existing workflows will not be affected.
Here’s exactly what is changing:
Main Navigation
The Admin Dashboard will now be Home.
Removed from top-level navigation (all content and data remains intact):
Compliance Toolkits will be split between the Policy Management and Incident Reports sections.
SDS Management will now be located under Policy Management.
Reports will now be located within each module. For example, learning reports will be under Learning.
Notifications Set Up and User Messages will now be located under Organization.
Module Navigation
Organization will include all of the same items, but they will grouped into:
Organization management
Employee management
Data import center
Other
Reports
Learning items will be reordered, but no other changes.
Policy Management now includes safety data sheets and all reports are under one navigation item.
Incident Reports will include HIPAA templates, which used to be in the Compliance Toolkit.
Compliance Coach will not change.
Credentialing will include all of the same items, but they will be grouped into:
My credentialing dashboard
Admin dashboard
Tasks
Providers
Documents
Enrollments
Appointments
File staging area
Set up
Analytics (formerly Credentialing Dashboards)
Reports
Exclusions will not change.
Support will not change
Again, no action is required ahead of the update. There is nothing to configure, migrate, or prepare. The update will apply automatically to your account. If you have any questions before or after the update, you can submit a support ticket directly through the MedTrainer platform or contact your dedicated MedTrainer Client Support Manager.
This update is designed to reduce friction and make daily platform use faster and more straightforward for your staff:
Faster task completion. Less time spent searching for features or switching contexts between modules.
Reduced training and onboarding time. One consistent navigation pattern across all modules means less re-learning.
Better adoption of new modules. A predictable structure makes it easier for your team to expand platform usage.
Fewer support interruptions. A clearer interface means fewer navigation-related questions and confusion.
